Submission Instructions

Authors are invited to submit original contributions in PDF format through the LANOMS 2009 web site. Papers must be written in English. Only original papers that have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere can be submitted. Self-plagiarized papers and multiple submissions will be rejected without further review.

Full papers should not exceed the limit of 12 pages. Short papers should not exceed the limit of 4 pages. Format full and short papers using the IEEE 2-column style. Sample files and templates can be downloaded from the LANOMS 2009 Web site. Application papers consist of annotated slides and should have a visual in the upper half of a page and the explanatory text in the lower half, following the current IM/NOMS format, and should not exceed 12 visuals in PDF only. A PowerPoint template and a sample PDF file can be downloaded from the LANOMS Web site as well.

All selected papers will be published in the LANOMS proceedings. All papers appearing in the proceedings will be included in IEEExplore. Authors of scientific papers (full and short) should submit a PDF file at Please select “Poster session” if you are submitting a short paper. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper, if accepted.

Selected excellent scientific papers will be considered favorably for inclusion in general issues of the Journal of Network and Systems Management – JNSM (Springer).


The camera-ready copy of each paper will have to comply with the typesetting instructions that you can find here. Use the sample manuscript as a visual aid for formatting.

Specific Instructions for Poster Exhibitors (Presenters)

Posters are single printed documents to be hung on a panel or board during the poster exhibition session. Each poster must have maximum dimensions of 80 mm (large) and 120 mm (height) or 31 inches x 48 inches. here will be scheduled sessions in which authors are expected to stand by their posters and discuss their work with attendees. At the conference, presenters are expected to mount their posters for attendees to view. Poster boards, pins and other material needed for posting your poster will be provided by the conference organization. The poster must have the title on top, followed by authors’ names and affiliation. In the middle go the text and figures. Extensive use of pictures, graphics, diagrams and tables are highly recommended, as well as the use of colors.

Authors are free to use the space in other ways, such as with a numberof PowerPoint slides (A4, etc) to populate the 120cm x 80cm space reserved for each presenter.

Authors may wish to bring printed technical reports or other material to hand out; they are also encouraged to bring their laptop computers, in order to show images, play animations, and run interactive demos.
